Pupils' active participation in teaching and meeting – and delivery obligation

Preparation, participation and evaluation of the teaching

We expect all students to be well-prepared and participate actively in class. It means that you must not do anything else in class other than what is relevant to the teaching.

Through their behavior and communication, both students and teachers are responsible for a fruitful study environment, which requires calm and order in all modules and in other forms of teaching activities – such as lectures, joint lessons and excursions.

In order to strengthen the mutual responsibility for the best benefit from the teaching, it is carried out anonymous evaluations of the teaching at least once a year in all classes and in all teams.

Obligation to attend

The students have a duty to attend all of the class/team's teaching modules. All forms of absence from teaching, incl. Illness, excursions, study tours, sporting events, etc. are included as absence but the principal can take this type of absence into account in special cases.

Pupils who are not present at the start of the lesson are noted as absent for the person concerned lesson. Pupils who leave classes during a lesson are also noted as absent the lesson in question, unless otherwise agreed between teacher and student. The teacher has a duty to attend when the lesson starts. If the teacher does not attend classes, students must contact the office immediately. Moved or cancelled teaching must be evident from Lectio. Cancellation of classes must be avoided as far as possible.

The school day is between 8.15 and 16.30 and all students are obliged to be available within this period of time. A student who, due to a disability or temporary functional impairment, cannot participate actively in the entire teaching in one or more subjects, parts of the teaching can be exempted on request according to management's specific assessment. The management can request the student for a medical certificate as documentation for the request for exemption. The cost for this is borne by the student. Sick leave or other absence

In case of illness, the student must note "illness" under reasons for absence in Lectio. As soon as you have recovered, it is expected that you will meet at school again. You are welcome to make your team teachers and study advisors aware that you are ill by writing a message to them in Lectio. The study advisors, principal and The vice-rector calculates the absence for the period once every month, when a meeting is held about students absence.

REGULATION OF DISCIPLINE

INTRODUCTION : The primary task of the school is to educate and train, not punish. Any disciplinary action must be based on this principle. The succession of sanctions, therefore, is not and must not be automatic: minor failures, even if repeated, can remain the subject of light sanctions; more serious shortcomings are subject to sanctions or commensurate re-education procedures.

§ The sanction must be timely to ensure its understanding and therefore its effectiveness.

§ Sanctions can also be given for failures committed outside the school, but which are expressly connected to school facts or events and are of such gravity as to have a strong impact on the school environment.

§ The convocation of the parents is not configured as a disciplinary sanction, but as a means of information and the search for a concrete recovery strategy.

§ The sanctions for disciplinary failures must be inspired by the principles of educational purpose, individual responsibility, transparency and proportionality of the reparation of the damage. It is always possible to convert the sanction in carrying out activities in favor of the school. A re-education intervention based on the transmission of information relating to the provisions of the law and notions of civic education may also be implemented.

§ The behaviors that may constitute disciplinary deficiencies and the related related sanctions are identified in tables A, B and C attached to this regulation.

§ The person who identifies the lack, or who becomes aware of it, must promptly notify the Headmaster.

§ The Headmaster, considering the extent of the reported failure, will evaluate the opportunity to call the student verbally or in writing, or to convene the Class Council or the School Council for a possible greater sanction.

§ No pupil may be subjected to a sanction without having had the opportunity to state his reasons.

§ Against disciplinary sanctions it is possible to appeal to the school's internal guarantee body within 15 days from the date of notification of the sanction.

§ Only in exceptional cases and to respond to a specific educational-didactic strategy can sanctions be used for a whole group.

§ In the case of sanctions that provide for removal from the school community for a period of more than 15 days, the school, in coordination with the family and, where necessary, with social services and the judicial authority, promotes an educational recovery path that aims at inclusion, empowerment and reintegration, where possible, in the school community.

For anything not provided for in this regulation, reference is made to the rules and spirit of the Statute of Students (DPR 249 of 24.06.98) as amended and supplemented by DPR 235 of 21.11.07 and by the note 31 July 2008 prot. n. 3602 / P0 of the Department for Education - Dir. Gen. for the Student, Integration, Participation and Communication.

METHOD OF IMPOSITION OF SANCTIONS

§ Before imposing a disciplinary sanction, students must be able to present their reasons verbally or in writing.

§ In the cases provided for in this article, the student's parents must be promptly notified by registered letter by hand or A / R or phonogram or telegram. They must communicate the date and time of the meeting of the Collegial Body as well as an invitation to parents to assist their child in explaining their reasons.

§ In the event that the parents and the student, although properly informed, do not attend the meeting, the Class Council or the School Council will proceed based on the documents and testimonies in its possession. In the event that the parents advise that they cannot be present, the Headmaster can appoint a guardian who will perform the role of the parents and assist the student.

§ The collegial bodies sanction even without having acquired the justifications from the student within the terms assigned.

§ The removal from lessons up to 15 days can provide at the discretion of the body that imposes the sanction:

a) The obligation to attend all school activities

b) The obligation to attend some school activities

c) The obligation to attend only for some curricular school activities

d) Non-participation in educational activities that take place outside the school such as visits, trips and the like.

On the proposal of the Class Council or the School Council for the sanctions of relative competence, the student can be offered, at the request of the latter, the possibility of converting the suspension with activities of pedagogical-educational value, also in favor of school community.

In the event of a suspension sanction, written notice will be given to the parents by the Headmaster; it must specify the motivation and the date or dates to which the provision refers.
